A nun was intercepted by immigration authorities while walking to church in South Texas. She was detained by US Immigration on Sunday. The incident occurred near the US-Mexico border in McAllen, Texas.

The nun, identified as Sister Leticia Ugboaja, was on her way to Our Lady of Sorrows Church when she was stopped. She was wearing her habit at the time of the incident. Sister Ugboaja was later released from immigration custody.
